Best Defy Stain for Cedar Homes is Defy Extreme Stain
The natural resistance to insects makes cedar a great choice for the exterior of a home. Cedar siding can last a long time when treated and maintained properly. Protecting the cedar from Mother Nature is the key to its longevity. The right stain will not only provide years of protection but will also bring out the natural beauty of the cedar for an eye-catching appearance.
Defy Stain makes several products that can be used on cedar homes for a beautiful long lasting finish. But the best Defy Stain for cedar homes is Defy Extreme. This stain can be used on smooth or rough exterior wood surfaces including decks, wood furniture, hardwood surfaces and wood siding. It is the best Defy Stain for vertical surfaces like cedar siding on a home.
Defy Extreme Wood Stain uses ingredients similar to sunscreen called Nanoparticles combined with high grade synthetic resins that will together reflect sunrays and provide maximum UV protection like never before seen in the stain industry. This is an extremely effective blend to prevent discoloring and graying of the wood. The same Nanoparticles also help prevent mold and mildew, which can lead to wood rot. In fact, Defy Extreme was tested and proved to outperform other major national brands by 200-600 percent by using its unique light stabilizing technology.
Applying the best Defy Stain for cedar homes is easy. The user friendly blend of Defy Extreme can be applied using a sprayer, roller, pad or brush and is best applied in two “wet on wet” coats. Cleanup is a snap requiring only water. Its low 250 VOC makes Defy Extreme compliant in all 50 states. For the best results, use Defy deck cleaner and brightener prior to staining. Coverage rates may vary but on average Defy Extreme will cover 100-150 sq. ft. per gallon and will dry in 2-4 hours. Use Defy Extreme on your vertical wood surfaces like cedar homes and get a long lasting beautiful finish you can be proud of.
We are just purchasing a cedar sidedhome. It is an ugly orange color and the inspector said the siding is discoloring and cupping on the south side of the home. I don’t know the history of maintenance. What can we do to rectify the cupping and discoloring? How about changing the color. It looks like a pumpkin, orange stain. Green roof
