I have a 100 ft long 6 ft wide dock with eastern white cedar decking. It was built in June of this year and needs to be coated. We are coming onto frost season (Ontario) and debating if it is better to stain now or cover it up and stain in the spring. Thank you

I have recently installed a new kiln dried cedar fence. My lumber supplier said the boards can be stained right away since they are kiln dried. Is this correct? Also would your ater based extreme semi transparent stain work on this fence?

Ok. One more question. When should you sand the wood (cedar)? Wouldn’t it be easir to sand rather than go through all these steps? Just curious. Thank you.
Sanding closes the wood grain, hindering the stain from soaking in deeply. In addition, it is much easier to prep with Defy Clean and Defy Brifhgener compared to sanding all the wood.
